Crime in Crypto
Time & Location
About the Event
At this special Crypto Curry Club event, we are joined by Mat Stanley, a detective with the Met Police, who deals with crypto crime across the U.K.
Mat has handled hacks, scams, and thefts! Together with his team, he is constantly on the lookout for the next ways that crypto (or digital assets) can be used in crime - such as in hacks and ransoms, the dark web, or now, NFTs including illegal- and sometimes X-rated - content.
Mat is an incredibly interesting guy and a great speaker- he will share some stories of the underground.
A chance to hear about where and how crypto and digital assets are being used in crime, learn some stats and trends, share if you have any ideas of the next potential uses of NFTs (or other) in crime, and hear a very interesting talk on tracking down hackers!
Crypto Curry Club is back live in London- with in-person events!
Crypto Curry Club will be back with small, in-person events when lockdown restrictions hopefully ease. If a return to in-person indoor events is delayed by the government, tickets will be transferable to a later date.
Our venue will seat 24, with 4 spread out tables of 6 (total capacity was 60 before social distancing)
Food: There will be an all-you-can-eat 3-course lunch served buffet style - with all dishes in individual pots to avoid sharing. Please note, Crypto Curry Club is now vegetarian 🌱
Drinks: A non-alcoholic welcome drink is included, other drinks are purchasable from the bar
This event will be for networking and a chance to catch up and build new relationships for those working and interested in crypto- everyone will be given a chance to introduce themselves with plenty of time for mingling and having the chance to be introduced to new people.
To register to attend, please fill out your full name on the waitlist, and spaces will be released on a first come first served basis
